2024 Fall Festival/Open House

On Saturday, September 21, 2024, HCSL hosted its first ever Fall Festival/Open House at its property in Jacona, NM. Over 100 people made nature bracelets; created their own personal pizzas cooked in the horno; toured the gardens, orchard and pond; listened to live bluegrass music provided by High Lonesome Highway; bid on a variety of paintings, sculpture and excursions in a silent auction; bought 2025 calendars featuring artwork from our 2024 Day Programs; and pressed cider from HCSL’s apples to take home. It was so much fun, HCSL has decided that the Open House will become an annual fall event!

2023 Fall Harvest Dinner

Approximately 40 donors, board members, volunteers, friends, Day Program participants and supporters celebrated the bounty of High Country Supported Living’s gardens and the expansion of its Day Programs — including the creation of its new cooking classes — at HCSL’s Fall Harvest Dinner on Saturday, October 21, 2023. As in previous years, the evening included a harvest dinner featuring fruits and vegetables from HCSL’s gardens and orchard, and tours of the gardens, orchard and pond. This year, the delicious fall dinner was prepared by chef, Fawn Ciprian of HolyWise Wellness. A special thanks to Matthew Hecht and Pritpal Khalsa for providing wonderful bluegrass music. It was a spectacular evening filled with friendship, celebration, good food and lots of laughter!

On Saturday, October 19, 2019, therapists, case managers, special needs teachers, educational assistants, artists, musicians and friends were welcomed to Jacona by High Country Supported Living board members and family members to tour HCSL's property and hear about the organization's mission, history and future programming.

After touring the buildings, walking to the pond and strolling through the vegetable and flower gardens, everyone enjoyed home-made green chile stew, appetizers, plum torte and cookies. Thanks to all our friends in the special needs community who came out to visit us in Jacona and learn more about HCSL.
